BALTIMORE – A trio of Eagles recorded double-digit kills as the Coppin State volleyball team fought off a pesky NJIT squad, 3-1 (25-23, 27-25, 24-26, 25-23) on Tuesday night at PEC Arena. With the win, the Eagles improved to 14-9 overall while the Highlanders fell to 4-17 on the year. 
  
Cherisse Atilano and TaKenya Stafford both notched double-doubles with Atilano tallying 16 kills on .227 hitting and 11 digs to go with a pair of blocks. Stafford finished with 12 kills and 11 digs along with two blocks, but Ivanna Luna stole the show with 13 kills on an impressive .476 swinging to go with three blocks.

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Kamren Harper posted her fifth consecutive double-double and North Carolina Central nearly forced a fifth set before falling to Gardner-Webb 3-1 (13-25, 25-21, 10-25, 21-25) in a non-conference volleyball match at Paul Porter Arena on Tuesday. 
 
Harper totaled 18 kills, 11 digs and two total blocks for the Eagles, who defeated Gardner-Webb in three sets at home on Sept. 2
