BALTIMORE, Md. (October 17, 2025) – The Morgan State cross country teams will travel to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, October 18, to compete in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational — their final tune-up before the 2025 MEAC Cross Country Championships. The meet will feature a deep field, with 43 women's teams and 38 men's teams slated to compete.
In their most recent outing at the HBCU Challenge, both squads turned in strong efforts. The Lady Bears tallied 150 points to place sixth in the 5K race, while the men's team matched that result, finishing sixth in the 8K event with 136 points.
For the women, Crystal Coke led the charge with a 21st-place finish in 20:32.3, followed by Aaliyah Headley (20:52.9) and Natalia Eastman (22:20.5), who came in 36th.
On the men's side, Caleb Miincey paced the Bears with a 15th-place finish in 26:32.2. Samuel Skinner (27:12.0) placed 22nd, and Natnael Gebremariam (27:57.4) finished 25th to round out Morgan's top trio.
"This week will be a great test as we gear up for the MEAC Championships," said Head Coach Neville Hodge. "Our goal is to keep building momentum and deliver strong individual and team performances in Gettysburg."
The men's 8K race is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., followed by the women's 6K at 11 a.m.
