NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 15, 2025 — Coppin State junior Humed Nura was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
North Carolina Central junior Alitza Dennard was named Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Nura (Jr., Baltimore, Md.) claimed his second individual title of the season with a dominant performance at the WCU Golden Ram Invitational, crossing the line in 15:51 and finishing nearly 20 seconds ahead of the field.
Dennard (Jr., Lawrenceville, Ga.) delivered a standout performance at the Royals Challenge, finishing 45th out of 164 runners with a time of 18:35.5, the fastest in the MEAC this season helping lead the Eagles to an 11th-place team finish.
Other Top Performers
- Emmanuel Paddyfote (NCCU) recorded a season-best time of 25:49.7 to finish 54th out of 185 runners at the highly competitive Royals Challenge. His performance ranks 13th in the MEAC this season and helped the Eagles secure a 13th-place team finish.
