CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. --- The Norfolk State men's cross-country team performed well against regionally and nationally ranked competition at the Panorama Farms Invitational on Friday morning.
The Spartans finished eighth as a team with 247 points, recording placements of 23-32-41-68-83-100.
Ian Kimutai led Norfolk State with a 28th-place finish, completing the 8k course in 24:19.30. Lewis Too followed in 46th with a time of 24:50.60, while Mathew Kipkoech placed 59th at 25:04.30.
Basil Koech crossed the line in 100th at 26:15.70, and Jemmel Green finished in 25:59.90. Nimporembere Drogba rounded out the Spartan lineup with a time of 28:49.60.
Norfolk State will now shift its focus to defending its MEAC Championship on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Cary, N.C.
