BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 14, 2026) -- The Morgan State women's track & field team closed out its regular-season indoor slate this weekend at the Darius Dixon Meet, hosted by Lynchburg University. The competition served as the Bears' final tune-up ahead of next week's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Championships.
Morgan State delivered several strong performances across track and field events, highlighted by multiple personal-best marks, as the team looks to ramp up preparations ahead of this week's indoor conference championships.
"The men's and women's teams delivered several strong performances over the weekend," said head coach Neville Hodge. "This meet gave us a glimpse of what to expect as we head into the MEAC Indoor Championships, scheduled for February 21–22."

DAY 1 | FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13
On the track, sophomore Jatavia Robinson placed 20th in the 60-meter preliminaries, crossing the line in 7.70 to advance to the semifinals. In the 400-meter open, sophomore Janiya Glass finished 10th with a time of 56.95, which currently ranks No. 31 among HBCUs this season. Freshman Sydney Monroe clocked 2:24.11 in the 800-meter open to place 25th overall.
In the field events, senior Brylan Carter recorded a toss of 15.36 meters in the weight throw to finish 18th, ranking No. 14 among HBCUs. Jayla-Shae Wright cleared 5.21 meters in the long jump to place 15th overall.

Sophomore Keira Stewart cleared 5.79m to place 13th.
Weight Throw
Senior Brylan Carter recorded a throw of 15.36 meters, placing 18th overall and #14 among HBCUs.

Freshman Jayla-Shae Wright cleared 5.21m to place 15th.

Freshman Anyra Knight ran a time of 8.91 in the preliminaries.
60m Prelims
Sophomore Jatavia Robinson advanced from the preliminaries to the semifinals, finishing 20th with a time of 7.70. She improved in the semifinals, posting a season-best 7.55 to place 11th overall.
400m Open
Sophomore Janiya Glass finished 10th in the event with a time of 56.95, ranking #31 among HBCUs this season.
800m Open
Freshman Sydney Monroe ran a personal best time of 2:24.11 (25th), while junior Hemetii Apet (2:24.79 - PR) and senior Aaliyah Headley (2:26.11) placed 27th and 28th, respectively.
800m Invite
Freshman Natalia Eastman recorded a personal best time of 2:21.33 (29th).
DAY 2 | SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14
On the final day of the Darius Dixon Invitational, Morgan State turned in solid performances on both the track and in the field. The 'A' 4x400m relay team finished 14th with a time of 3:54.04, while the 4000m Distance Medley Relay placed 10th in 12:44.50. Jatavia Robinson added a 15th-place finish in the 200m Invite (25.07).
In the field events, sophomore Aleah Alexander highlighted the day by clearing 1.59 meters to secure a third-place finish in the high jump.

Shot Put
Freshman Terry-Ann Thompson and Jayla-Shae Wright placed 38th (10.69m) and 39th (10.43m - PR), respectively.
High Jump Open
Sophomore Aleah Alexander finished in a tie for second place after clearing 1.59 meters.
Track Events:
200m Open
Sophomore Keira Stewart finished with a season-best time of 26.16 (52nd).
200m Invite
Jatavia Robinson finished with a time of 25.07 (15th).
300m
Junior Hemetii Apet finished with a personal best 44.26 (40th).
4000m Distance Medley Relay
In the 4000m Distance Medley Relay, the Lady Bears—Aaliyah Headley, Kayla Gordon, Natalia Eastman, and Crystal Coke—finished 10th with a time of 12:44.50.
4x400m Relay
In the 4x400m relay, the Morgan State 'A' team—Natalia Eastman, Janiya Glass, Aleisha Robinson, and Keira Stewart—finished 14th with a time of 3:54.04.
1 Mile
Junior Crystal Coke recorded a time of 5:28.15 (20th).
NEXT UP:
The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will host the 2026 Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va., Sunday, February 22, and Monday, February 23.
Monday's action will be streamed live on ESPN+, beginning at 12 p.m.
