NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 11, 2026-- Norfolk State senior Brooklyn Robinson was selected as Women's Track Athlete of the Week while
Howard senior Temi Banwo earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Robinson (Sr., Prince Georga, Va) broke the Norfolk State school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a winning time of 8.21 at the Penn Classic. She also placed ninth in the 200 meters (24.63) and seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.76 meters, which currently ranks third in the MEAC.
Banwo (Sr., Allen, Texas) captured first place in the weight throw at the Wisconsin Windy City Invite with a MEAC-best 18.31 meters. She also recorded a MEAC-best 14.27 meters in the shot put, finishing seventh overall in the event.
Other Top Performers
- Rebecca Jansen (DSU) set a Delaware State school record in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:27.29 to win the event at the Frank Colden Invitational.
- Valerie Ashamu (DSU) won the high jump at the Frank Colden Invitational, clearing 1.65 meters to take gold.
