DOVER, DE --Kelsie Dawson racked up 13 kills with a .632 hitting percentage to help carry the Delaware State volleyball team to a 3-2 victory (25-23, 25-14, 19-25, 20-25, 15-9) against the South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs Sunday at home at Memorial Hall. 

The conference win improved Delaware State's record to 9-14 overall and 5-4 in MEAC action. 

The Hornets offense was paced by Dawson, who finished with 13 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .632, and by Aaliyah Mitchell, who had 11 while hitting .273. Defensively, had two players reach double figures in digs as Gerren Tomlin had 14 and Autumn Richardson had 10. 


Coppin State def. Norfolk State, 3-0 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

NORFOLK, Va. – Cherisse Atilano recorded a match-high 17 kills and 17 digs, leading Coppin State's volleyball team to its tenth-straight victory in a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-21) win at Norfolk State on Sunday afternoon at Gill Gymnasium.  The Eagles are now 16-9 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the MEAC while matching a school-record for consecutive victories. 
  
A freshman from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, Atilano hit .342 for the match, making just four errors on 38 swings to go with a match-high four aces to total 21.0 total points.  Atilano's four aces matched a season-high while her kills and digs total were her third and second-most of the season, respectively. 
  
TaKenya Stafford added 11 kills on .233 hitting to go with eight digs, followed by Ahzhi Coleman and Ivanna Luna with four kills apiece. Luna led the Eagles with three blocks while Coleman and McKenzie Parks had two blocks apiece. 


North Carolina Central def Maryland Eastern Shore, 3-0 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – North Carolina Central rallied from an early deficit in the third set to sweep Maryland Eastern Shore 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-23) in MEAC volleyball action at the Hytche Center on Sunday. 
 
This was the fourth 3-0 win this season for the Eagles, who avenged a five-set home loss to UMES on Sept. 28. The Eagles' victory tied last year's season total (7) and ties for the most wins since 2021 (11). 
 
NCCU is in sixth place in the MEAC standings, but only two matches separate second-place Morgan State (6-3) from the Eagles (4-5) with five league matches left.
