NORFOLK, Va., March 2, 2026 – Howard forward Zennia Thomas was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week presented by Wells Fargo.
Delaware State guard Amya Scott was named Rookie of the Week, while
teammate Ericka Huggins earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Thomas (F, 6-2, Sr., Cleveland, Ohio) averaged 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds over two games, including a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds against Coppin State. In the following contest, she led Howard with 22 points and eight rebounds in the 84-65 win over Morgan State.
Scott (Fr., 5-3, G., Philadelphia, Pa.) scored 22 points, five assists, three rebounds, and two steals over a 2-0 week for the Hornets. Against SC State, she finished with 12 points, two steals, two assists, and two rebounds, and followed that performance with 10 points, three assists, and one rebound against NC Central.
Huggins (So, 6-0, F., Wilmington, Del.) totaled 17 rebounds, three steals, three blocks and 29 points in a 2-0 week for the Hornets.

- Sydney Burris (CSU) totaled 23 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists over two games for the Eagles.
- Jael Butler (MSU) recorded her first double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds against Norfolk State.
- Da’Brya Clark (NSU) contributed 20 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals in a 2-0 week for the Spartans.
- Ariella Henigan (HOW) scored 21 points, grabbed five rebounds, and added two steals in the 84-65 win over Morgan State.
- Carmen Kweti (NSU) tallied 14 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks in a 2-0 week for the Spartans.
- Ashanti Lynch (UMES) scored 35 points with 18 rebounds and five steals over two games for the Hawks.
- Kailyn Nash (MSU) scored a career-high 26 points while adding seven rebounds and two assists against Howard.
- Kaliya Perry (UMES) recorded nine points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks in a 2-0 week for the Hawks.
