Howard’s Miller Earns Top Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va., February 23, 2026 – Howard forward Nile Miller was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week presented by Wells Fargo. Maryland Eastern Shore forward Kaliya Perry was named Rookie of the Week, while Morgan State’s Michaela Bogans earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.        

Miller (F, 6-1, Sr., Woodbury, N.J.) notched her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while also contributing four steals, three assists, and a block in a 66-58 win over N.C. Central. 

Perry (Fr., 6-0, F., Hampton, Va.) grabbed 10 rebounds, blocked two shots, and added two steals alongside eight points in a 66-64 win at Coppin State. 

Bogans (Sr, 5-6, G., Augusta, Ga.) totaled a career-high 10 steals in a double-double performance with 11 points in a win over South Carolina State, adding five assists and four rebounds.

  • Sydney Burris (CSU) posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, adding two blocks in a 66-64 loss to Maryland Eastern Shore. 
  • Jael Butler (MSU) averaged 16.0 points and 4.5 rebounds across two games. 
  • Dayshawna Carter (UMES) scored a team-high 22 points, going a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line, while adding an assist and two steals in a 66-64 win at Coppin State. 
  • Aniya Finger (NCCU) averaged 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds across two games. 
  • Jermesha Frierson (DSU) scored 20 points, adding nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals in a 74-59 win over Morgan State. 
  • Ariella Henigan (HOW) tallied eight points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals in a 66-58 win over N.C. Central. 
  • Natalie Jasper (NCCU) scored 34 points over two games, adding four assists in a 1-1 week for the Eagles. 
  • Carmen Kweti (NSU) recorded 11 rebounds, 10 points, five steals, and three assists in a 93-52 win over South Carolina State. 
  • Anjanae Richardson (NSU) tallied 17 points, seven assists, four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in a 93-52 win over South Carolina State. 
  • Amya Scott (DSU) scored 15 points, adding two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a 74-59 win over Morgan State. 
  • Toni Smith (DSU) contributed six points and six rebounds in a 74-59 win over Morgan State.
