University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Madison Colston was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, while Delaware State’s Ryan Starke earned Rookie of the Week honors.
Colston (Grad., Pinellas Park, Fla.) ranked second in total frames bowled, first in Baker frame average (21.76), and first in overall average per frame (22.28). She also placed second in overall fill percentage (90.1), first in strike percentage (58.8), and second in spare conversion percentage (95.2). Colston finished 100th at the 2026 Northeast Classic with a 167.60 average pinfall, highlighted by a best game of 180 against Wright State. UAB closed the week with a 2-3 record in traditional play, earning wins over Daemen University and Wichita State, and posted a 3-2 mark in Baker format.
Starke (Fr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished 63rd overall at the 2026 Northeast Classic with a 189.60 average pinfall. She ranked sixth in average per frame (19.68), fifth in Baker frame average (19.68), seventh in overall fill percentage (78.8), sixth in strike percentage (47.5), sixth in nine-count spare conversion percentage (83.3), and eighth in Baker fill percentage (78.8). Delaware State went 2-3 in traditional play with wins over Holy Family and Wilmington University. Starke recorded a top game of 243 against Sam Houston State.
