NORFOLK, Va. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) wrapped up Week 6 action Saturday with Morgan State earning a 28-27 comeback victory over Robert Morris. Delaware State and Norfolk State recorded shutout wins, with the Hornets blanking Franklin Pierce, 34-0, and the Spartans defeating Virginia-Lynchburg, 62-0.
South Carolina State fell to Charleston Southern, 49-39, while Howard dropped a 24-20 decision to Penn and North Carolina Central lost to William & Mary, 17-14.

Morgan State (5-1, 0-0 MEAC) – Box Score
Morgan State rallied from a two-touchdown deficit to tie the game at 21-21 late in the third quarter before answering Robert Morris’ fourth-quarter touchdown. The Bears made a final push to secure the win and extend their winning streak to five games. Darius Jones led Morgan State with 10 tackles, while Donovan Moyer recorded three tackles for loss, one sack, a forced fumble and two quarterback hurries.
Norfolk State (4-3, 0-0 MEAC) – Box Score
Norfolk State scored 34 points in the second quarter and recorded four defensive and special teams touchdowns in a 62-0 shutout of Virginia-Lynchburg on Homecoming. The Spartans intercepted four passes, recovered two fumbles and held the Dragons to 224 total yards. Kaleb Broadbent returned an interception for a touchdown and finished with two picks, while Christian James returned two punts for scores. Norfolk State rushed for 299 yards, led by Jalyn Daniels with 87 yards and two touchdowns.
Delaware State (4-3, 0-0 MEAC) – Box Score
Delaware State recorded its first shutout of the season with a 34-0 victory over Franklin Pierce, remaining unbeaten at home.
Howard (2-4, 0-0 MEAC) – Box Score
Howard built a 20-10 lead through three quarters but surrendered two fourth-quarter touchdowns in a 24-20 loss to Penn. The Bison totaled 247 yards of offense, with Ja’Shawn Scroggins throwing for 140 yards and a touchdown while adding a rushing score. Defensively, Ben Chandler IV recorded eight tackles and an interception, while Gabe Stephens had 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss.
North Carolina Central (2-5, 0-0 MEAC) – Box Score
North Carolina Central rushed for 282 yards but fell 17-14 to William & Mary on Homecoming, closing nonconference play with a 2-5 record. Gino Addison rushed for 169 yards on 22 carries, while Cobey Thompkins added 98 yards and a touchdown on the ground, including a 68-yard scoring run.
South Carolina State (5-2, 0-0 MEAC) – Box Score
South Carolina State scored 23 second-half points but fell 49-39 to Charleston Southern, dropping its second straight game after a 5-0 start. The Bulldogs totaled 470 yards of offense, including 368 passing yards, and rallied from a 42-16 deficit to pull within 42-33 early in the fourth quarter. Ronnie Robinson threw for 279 yards and a touchdown, while Josh Shaw scored twice on the ground. Malaqhi Jones added six catches for 111 yards.
