BALTIMORE, MD – TaKenya Stafford eclipsed the 1,000 career kill mark as Coppin State's volleyball team split a pair of matches during the final day of its Charm City Classic on Saturday. The Eagles (5-6) opened the day with a 3-0 (25-15, 27-25, 25-19) sweep of Iona before falling to Princeton in three sets (25-11, 25-19, 25-21).
Needing just seven kills to reach 1,000 for her career, Stafford led all players with 13 kills on .211 hitting along with a pair of aces, a block and three digs. Ahzhi Coleman and Kayden Cupid hit .333 apiece with Coleman recording eight kills to Cupid's five.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – In a battle of Green and Gold, the Norfolk State volleyball team put up a strong fight but fell in three sets to William & Mary on Saturday afternoon.
Junior outside hitter Gabrielle Gilbert paced the Spartans with 14 kills, while senior setter Sydney McCree dished out 27 assists. Defensively, Mya Wood and Mary Nahinu collected eight digs apiece, with Briana Ellis adding three service aces. Freshman Ava Berry anchored the net presence, leading NSU with four blocks.

PRINCESS ANNE MD – Maryland Eastern Shore (2-8) fell to Robert Morris (2-7) in straight sets at Cassell Coliseum.
The opening set saw seven ties and three lead changes before the Colonials pulled away with an 11-3 run to take it 25-17. In set two, UMES rallied late to tie the score at 21, but Robert Morris closed with four straight points for a 25-21 win.
The third set was tightly contested with seven ties, but after UMES led 16-15, the Colonials regained control and secured the match with a 25-23 victory.
Georgetown def. Morgan State, 3-0, - BOX SCORE | RECAP
BALTIMORE, Md.-- The Bears volleyball team returned home for Match 2 of the Battle of the Beltway and fell to the Georgetown Hoyas, 3-0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-23) on Saturday afternoon.
The Hoyas improved to 4-5 on the season, while Morgan State dropped to 3-5 and lost its last two home contests. Georgetown also remained unbeaten against Morgan State in the series' seven meetings.
Georgetown came into Hill Field House winners of its last two matches and continued the momentum, starting the opening set by scoring the first eight points to eventually win 25-11. But the Bears would show unbelievable fight and resilience in the next two sets.
Daniela Ferreira led the charge with a match-high 10 kills with six coming in the second set. Jordan Willams made considerable contributions on both the offensive and defensive side of the floor, finishing with three kills and a team-leading two blocks. Isabelle Brown recorded 13 assists.

Stafford led the Eagles with nine kills to go with seven digs, followed by Pharoah with six kills and both Luna and Araya Garrison with four each. Garrison also led the team with three blocks while not committing and error on ten swings. Pharoah, Luna and Coleman all had two blocks each.
Cintron led a trio of setters with 11 assists while Andrea Serrano added seven assists and five digs. Figueroa once again led all players with 17 digs but the Eagles hit just .118 to Princeton's .336.
