WASHINGTON, D. C. – North Carolina Central dropped a three-set (18-25, 18-25, 18-25) volleyball match to Temple at the Charles E. Smith Center in the Georgetown/George Washington Dig the District tournament on Saturday.
The Eagles are now 2-5 overall while Temple is 3-2.
Kamren Harper led NCCU with 11 kills and
Leanna Beaty added nine kills for the Eagles.
Manuela Cripa Nasser tallied 23 assists and seven digs and
Loren Johnson finished with 13 digs.
Makenzi Searcy chipped in nine digs.

SPOKANE, Wa. - Maryland Eastern Shore (2-5) was defeated by CSU Bakersfield (1-5) in four sets at Charlotte Y. Martin Centre.
UMES began the match with a 6-1 run, highlighted by a pair of kills from Anjola Omolewa. CSU Bakersfield got back within one in the middle of the frame before the Hawks separated again. Leading 13-12, UMES scored nine of the next 10 points. Lilliana Montes had two kills in the scoring surge while Kate-Linh Eden added two service aces. The Hawks controlled set one en route to a 25-15 win.

MORGANTOWN, W.V. - TaKenya Stafford had a team-high ten kills as the Coppin State volleyball team fell to West Virginia, 3-0 (25-15,25-14, 25-14) on Saturday afternoon at WVU Coliseum.
The Eagles fell to 2-4 on the season while the Mountaineers remained perfect at 6-0.Stafford hit .129 with six errors on 31 swings and added an ace and three digs.
Cherisse Atilano followed with five kills and a team-high eight digs and
Kayden Cupid chipped in with three kills and two blocks.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (September 6, 2025) – Howard University women's volleyball team downed Presbyterian College (PC) in four sets (26-24, 25-19, 24-26, 25-15) at the UNF Invitational, hosted by North Florida (UNF).
With the victory, HU won back-to-back matches for the first time this year while moving back over .500 (3-2) on the young season.
Three Bison recorded a double-double on the afternoon, led by senior outside hitter
Rya McKinnon (Hoover, Ala.) with 20 kills (match-high) and 11 digs.

BUIES CREEK, N.C. ---The Norfolk State women's volleyball team dropped two matches on Saturday, falling to Campbell (17-25, 19-25, 22-25) and Gardner-Webb (15-25, 19-25, 25-19, 21-25) to close out the Campbell Invitational.
The Spartans moved to 0-7 on the year. Campbell improved to 3-2, while Gardner-Webb climbed to 3-4.
