NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 10, 2025 — North Carolina Central’s Emmanuel Paddyfote was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Fellow Eagle Alitza Dennard was named Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, giving the Eagles a sweep of this week’s awards. 

Paddyfote (Sr., Belmont, NC.) captured the individual title at the Wilmington Beach Blast 5K, clocking a winning time of 15:32.77 to lead the Eagles to a first-place team finish. 

Dennard (Jr., Lawrenceville, Ga.) took home gold, clocking a winning time of 19:33.96 to lead the Eagles to a second-place team finish at the Wilmington Beach Blast 5K.
