CARY, N.C., Nov. 1, 2025 – Norfolk State University claimed its sixth consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Cross-Country Championship on Saturday at WakeMed Park.
FINAL RESULTS
The Spartans finished with 55 team points en route to their 18th overall title. Kenneth Giles was named the Men’s Championship Outstanding Coach, while Norfolk State’s Lewis Too earned Outstanding Performer honors.
Maryland-Eastern Shore’s Banele Mkabela finished second with a time of 24:41.7. Norfolk State’s Mathew Kipkoech placed third (24:44.4), and N.C. Central’s Emmanuel Paddyfote crossed fourth at 24:45.7. Delaware State’s Marian Drazan rounded out the top five clocking in at 24:49.2.
Maryland-Eastern Shore’s Siyabonga Mbatha finished sixth in 25:05.4, followed by Delaware State’s Jonathan Drew in seventh (25:10.9), South Carolina State’s Tinashe Bure in eighth (25:21.4), Morgan State’s Caleb Mincey in ninth (25:35.8), and Norfolk State’s Jemmel Green in tenth (25:36.4).
The top 15 finishers were named All-MEAC.
