DOVER, DE --The Delaware State volleyball team displayed impressive determination with a 3-2 win against the Norfolk State Spartanettes Sunday at home at Memorial Hall. 

The conference victory improved Delaware State's record to 10-15 overall and 6-5 in MEAC action. 

The Hornets attack was paced by Aaliyah Mitchell, who finished with 17 kills on the day, and by Gerren Tomlin, who had 16 while hitting .294. got 14 digs from Paige Ahakuelo to lead them defensively. 


Howard def. Maryland Eastern Shore, 3-1 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — Howard volleyball (13–9, 7–4 MEAC) defeated Maryland Eastern Shore (9–15, 6–5 MEAC) Sunday at the Hytche Center, taking a four-set decision, 25–16, 20–25, 25–16, 25–14. 

Howard hit .258 (55 kills, 11 errors, 90 attacks) to UMES's .047 (34 kills, 28 errors, 127 attacks). The Bison also led in assists (50–33), digs (52–46) and blocks (12–9), finishing with eight service aces to UMES's three. 
 
Howard returns to action Friday, November 7 at 6 p.m. when the Bison host NC Central for a 90s-themed night at Burr Gymnasium. 


North Carolina Central def Coppin State, 3-1 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central is heating up as the regular season winds down. 
 
The Eagles gained their biggest win of the season, knocking off MEAC leader Coppin State 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 27-25) at McDougald-McLendon Arena on Sunday. 
 
NCCU, 6-5 in the MEAC standings, is tied with Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore for fourth place. Each team is one match behind Howard and Morgan State, both tied for second place at 7-4, with three matches left in the regular season. 


Morgan State def South Carolina State, 3-0 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 2, 2025)--Mele Taumoepeau set a career- and match-high 14 digs and Hannah Chappelle added a season-high 11 digs, as Morgan State crashed South Carolina State's Senior Day celebrations with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-14) sweep of the Bulldogs in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match on Sunday afternoon at Dukes Gymnasium. 
  
Morgan State improved to 10-11, 7-4 in the MEAC, while South Carolina State dropped its fourth straight and fell to 5-19, 1-10 MEAC. With the win, the Bears completed the season sweep of S.C. State, while improving to 32-1 all-time against the Bulldogs. 
  
The visiting Bears closed out the match with 40 kills and a .273 hitting percentage. Morgan State collected 52 digs and had 10 service aces.
