Howard’s Thomas Earns Top Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va., November 24, 2025 - Howard's Zennia Thomas was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, presented by Wells Fargo. Delaware State’s Liliana Harrison was named Rookie of the Week, while fellow Hornet Ericka Huggins earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.   

Thomas (G, 6-2, Sr., Cleveland, Ohio) opened the week at VCU with 25 points and eight rebounds, then followed with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a win over William & Mary. She finished the week recording her second double-double of the season with 21 points and 13 rebounds against Monmouth, adding three assists, two steals, and two blocks. 

Harrison (Fr., 6-2, F., Lebanon, Pa.) contributed 19 points and nine rebounds across a 1-1 week for Delaware State. She scored 12 points with four rebounds against Farleigh Dickson University and followed with seven points and five boards in the Hornets’ 83-38 victory over St. Mary’s (MD). 

Huggins (So, 6-0, F., Wilmington, DE.) posted 16 points, 16 rebounds, seven steals, and four blocks in a 1-1 week for the Hornets. She tallied five points, six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks against FDU before adding an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double with four steals and two blocks in Delaware State’s win over St. Mary’s (MD). 

Other Top Performers 
  • Lainey Allen (UMES) totaled 21 points, 19 rebounds, five blocks, and three steals over a 1-2 week for the Hawks. 
  • Brianna Barnes (UMES) totaled 42 points, 12 rebounds, six steals, and four assists over a 1-2 week for the Hawks. 
  • Morgan Callahan (NCCU) recorded 35 points, 24 rebounds, four steals, and four blocks over three games for the Eagles. 
  • Jasha Clinton (NSU) recorded her first career double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds against Penn and followed with 12 points, six assists, and four steals versus Hampton. 
  • Carmen Kweti (NSU) totaled 14 rebounds, 14 points and three blocks in an 0-2 week for the Spartans. 
  • Patricia Sosa Lora (CSU) recorded 10 rebounds and four points at #13 Tennessee. 
  • Desi Taylor (UMES) contributed 16 points, three rebounds, five assists, and four steals over three games for the Hawks.
