WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – North Carolina Central gave Power Four program Wake Forest a major scare before falling 68-65 in a women's basketball non-conference game at LJVM Coliseum on Thursday.
The Eagles, trailing 67-65, had possession with 18.3 seconds left but committed a turnover. The Demon Deacons of the ACC made 1 of 2 free throws with four seconds remaining to hold off a scrappy NCCU squad, who rallied from an 18-point deficit in the third quarter.
Morgan Callahan led the Eagles with 19 points and 12 rebounds, her second double-double in five games and 21st of her career. Tierney Coleman and Nia Young both came off the bench to score 15 points and 13 points, respectively.

WEST LONG BEACH, N.J. (November 20, 2025) – Senior forward Zennia Thomas (Cleveland) recorded a double-double and junior guard Destiny Bynum-Johnson (Newark, N.J.) added 10 points but it was the tough team defense that proved to be the difference as the Howard University women's basketball team defeated Monmouth, 57-44, in a nonconference matchup at the Ocean Bank Center.
The Bison are off to one of their best starts in recent history (5-1) with four of the victories coming on the road.

ORANGEBURG, SC—Guard Shaunice Reed led the way for the second straight week with a team-high 21 points, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped a tough 76-65 loss to Queens (Charlotte) Thursday (Nov.20) night inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
Forward Feliah Greer added 11 points and five rebounds in the loss.
South Carolina State falls to 2-3 overall, while Queens improve to 3-2.
