PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — Slow starts to open both the first and second half plagued Maryland Eastern Shore in an 84–45 loss to No. 23 Creighton on Friday.
UMES guard Justin Monden led the Hawks with a season-high 13 points, finishing a perfect 6-for-6 from the field. Chris Flippin added eight points in the effort.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Coppin State's men's basketball team dropped its opening game of the Showdown in St. Pete MTE, falling 82-59 to Central Michigan on Friday afternoon at McArthur Center on the campus of Eckerd College. The Eagles fell to 0-5 on the season while the Chippewas improved to 2-2.
DeMariontay Hall led three CSU players in double figures with 13 points in just 18 minutes, hitting 4-of-7 from the floor and all five of his free throws to go with four rebounds and a block. Khali Horton hit three first half 3-pointers and finished with 11 points and four boards off the bench while Tyler Koenig added ten points and a team-high seven rebounds.

TOWSON, Md. – The Norfolk State men's basketball team battled No. 18 Towson on Friday evening, ultimately falling 51-41 at SECU Arena.
Devon Ellis and Elijah Jamison paced NSU with eight points each. Anthony McComb III added seven points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina Central men's basketball team showed fight after being down double figures in the first half, but the 18th ranked North Carolina Tar Heels pulled away defeating the Eagles 97-53 on Friday evening at the Smith Center.
Ramondo Battle II led NC Central, scoring 14 points after a quick start in the first half.
Gage Lattimore started seeing the ball go through the net after only scoring three points early in the game. He finished with 12 points.
