Norfolk, Va., May. 6, 2026-- Howard senior Aniya Woodruff was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week, while
teammate Temi Banwo earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Woodruff (Sr., Harrisburg, N.C.) won the 400-meter hurdles at the Aggie Classic with a time of 57.94, a mark that ranks second in the MEAC and ranks within the top 50 nationally.
Banwo (Sr., Allen, Texas) placed third in the discus at the Aggie Classic with a toss of 46.09 meters, the second-best mark in the MEAC this season while also placing fourth in the hammer throw tossing 49.74 meters, ranking second in the conference.
Other Top Performers
- Brylan Carter (MSU) recorded a personal-best 40.62m throw in the javelin at the Maryland Kehoe Invitational.
- Rachel Key-White (NCCU) earned a third-place finish in the triple jump at the Duke with a leap of 11.69 meters.
- Miriam Okwudibonye (DSU) captured first place in the 400-meter hurdles at the Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational with a time of 58.60.
