Men’s Track & Field Wraps Up Regular Season at the Aggie Classic

Bison win three events in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. (May 2, 2026) – Howard University men's track & field wrapped up its regular season in Greensboro, N.C., at the annual Aggie Invitational (May 1-2), hosted by North Carolina A&T State.
 
Over the two-day span, HU grabbed three victories.
 
DMV native sophomore Drew Dillard (Silver Spring, Md.) won the high jump after leaping 2.11 meters (6'11").
 
Fifth-year Bison Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) claimed gold in the long jump, catapulting 7.18 meters (23'6.75"). Wray and freshmen Martin Ohakah (Glen, Burnie, Md.) and Roman Mills (Washington) competed in the triple jump, earning second (15.13 meters), fourth (13.91 meters) and sixth (13.81 meters), respectively.
 
Sophomores Tarike Lavine (Bridgetown, Barbados) and Solomon Young (Charlotte, N.C.) took part in the discus where they finished third (49.67 meters) and fifth (47.37 meters), respectively.
 
Fellow classmate Benjamin Hilliard (Indianapolis) placed second in the javelin, tossing 28.30 meters (92'10").
 
On the track, rookie Ashton Thomas (Greensboro, N.C.) won gold in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 1:53.15. Seniors Kaleb Berry (Duncanville, Texas) and Kobe Hutson (Bridgetown, Barbados) also ran the race, finishing third (1:54.26) and fifth (1:54.95), respectively.
 
Second-year Bison Paul Robinson (Bowie, Md.) and freshman Noah Douglas (Boston) competed in the 1500-meter run where they earned second (4:01.92) and sixth (4:10.77), respectively.
 
Newcomer Jabari Dillard (Cross Hill, S.C.) took silver in the 110-meter hurdles, producing a 14.10 mark.
 
Sophomores Elijah Grant (Fort Mill, S.C.) and Jayvian Greene (Gainesville, Fla.) and junior Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.) participated in the 400-meter dash, earning third (47.23), sixth (47.90) and eighth (48.05), respectively.
 
Other notable performances on the track included graduate Abraham Evans (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Mihaly Akpamgbo placing third overall in the 100-meter dash (10.50) and 200-meter dash (20.98), respectively.
 
On May 14-16, HU heads to Norfolk, Va., for the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Outdoor Championships, hosted by Norfolk State.
