NORFOLK, Va. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the official men’s tennis bracket for the 2026 MEAC Tennis Championship, scheduled for April 23–25 at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.
South Carolina State earned the tournament’s top seed after securing its fifth consecutive regular-season title.
The Bulldogs completed conference play with a perfect 5-0 record and finished 11-7 overall. As the No. 1 seed, South Carolina State receives a first-round bye and will advance directly to the semifinal round on Friday, April 24 at 12 p.m., where they will face the winner of the matchup between No. 4 seed Morgan State and No. 5 seed Howard.
Morgan State enters the tournament with a 7-11 overall record and a 2-3 mark in conference play and will face Howard in a first-round contest on Thursday, April 23 at 2 p.m.
North Carolina Central secured the No. 2 seed following a strong regular season, finishing 12-7 overall and 4-1 in MEAC competition. The Eagles also receive a first-round bye and will compete in the semifinals on Friday at 12 p.m. against the winner of the first-round match between No. 3 seed Norfolk State and No. 6 seed Coppin State.
Norfolk State claimed the No. 3 seed with a 12-10 overall record and a 3-2 conference mark. The Spartans will open tournament play against Coppin State on Thursday, April 23 at 2 p.m.
The championship match is set for Saturday, April 25, and will be aired live on ESPN+, with first serve scheduled for 12 p.m.
