NORFOLK, Va., Apr. 7, 2026 -- South Carolina State senior Mikalai Bankou has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, while teammate Andrii Borodatiuk earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors. 
 
Bankou (Sr., Minsk, Belarus) posted a perfect 2-0 record at the No. 1 singles position with straight-set victories, defeating Norfolk State (6-2, 6-2) and North Carolina Central (6-3, 6-4), while also going 2-0 in No. 1 doubles with 6-2 wins in both matches. 
 
Borodatiuk (Fr., Ukraine) captured wins at the No. 4 singles position against Norfolk State (6-4, 6-1) and North Carolina Central (6-3, 6-0). In doubles play, he went 2-0 at the No. 2 position with victories over Norfolk State (6-2) and North Carolina Central (7-6). 

Other Top Performers  

• Szymon Malecki (NSU) tallied a 2-0 record in singles action, including a three-set (10-7) victory at SC State.
