STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Delaware State Hornets men's track & field turned in a strong performance at the Gotham Cup Invitational, highlighted by a school-record performance and solid showings across events.

Christopher Johnson represented the Hornets in the shot put, while the 4x800-meter relay team of Ian Cain, Lekan Sotonwa, Jonathan Drew, and Marian Drazan competed against a deep field to close out the distance events.

The meet's top highlight came in the 3000-meter run, where Marian Drazan posted a time of 8:21.16, setting a new men's school record for Delaware State.
