CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Norfolk State men's cross country team delivered a strong performance at the Virginia Invitational on Friday morning, finishing sixth overall with 162 points.
Ian Kimutai paced the Spartans, placing 13th with a time of 25:06.30. Lewis Too followed closely in 17th at 25:09.90, giving NSU two runners inside the top 20.
Mathew Kipkoech crossed in 38th at 25:42.60, while Jammel Green clocked 26:25.00 for 63rd place. Basil Koech (27:36.70) and Nimporembere Drogba (29:27.30) rounded out the Spartans' lineup.
Norfolk State returns to action on Friday, Oct. 3, at the ECU Pirate Invitational in Greenville, N.C.
