TOWSON, Md. (Dec. 30, 2025)--Morgan State closed out its 2025 schedule with a non-conference contest on Tuesday afternoon against rival Towson in the finale of the Charm City Hoops Classic. The host Tigers would earn a thrilling 63-61 victory over Morgan State at SECU Arena. 

Morgan State will now enjoy the New Year, before beginning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play on the road at Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday, Jan. 3. Tip-off is at 2 p.m. at the Hytche Athletic Center in Princess Anne, Md.   


North Carolina Central def. Averett 111-48 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

DURHAM, N.C. – Aniya Finger scored 17 points to lead five double-figure scorers and North Carolina Central forced 40 turnovers in a 111-48 women's basketball triumph over Averett at McDougald-McLendon Arena on Tuesday. 

Morgan Callahan added 16 points and seven rebounds and Najah Lane totaled 12 points and seven assists. Shakiria Foster matched Lane with 12 points and Victoria Morris registered 11 points. 


FDU def. Maryland Eastern Shore 85-57 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

HACKENSACK, New Jersy — A slow start offensively provided enough of a gap for FDU that the University of Maryland Eastern Shore could not catch up on a cold night shooting through the first half. The Hawks lost 85-57to the Knights in the final non-conference matchup for UMES this season.   

UMES returns to Princess Anne to open MEAC play against Morgan State at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 3.
