MEAC Announces Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards 

North Carolina Central’s Finger Earns Top Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va., December 29, 2025 - North Carolina Central forward Aniya Finger was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week presented by Wells Fargo.  Coppin State guard Kyley Gary-Grayson was named Rookie of the Week, while fellow Eagle Shanaii Gamble earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.      

Finger (F, 5-11, Gr., Charlotte, NC) scored 17 points with four steals, one block, and a steal in North Carolina Central’s matchup against No. 8 Oklahoma. 

Gary-Grayson (G, 5-8, Fr., West Orange, NJ.) tallied 16 points, two steals, and two rebounds in the game against George Washington. 

Gamble (F, 6-0, Sr., Florida City, Fla.) registered eight rebounds, four steals, and one block in the loss to George Washington. 

Other Top Performers 
  • Amaya Harris (NCCU) scored six points and grabbed three rebounds against No. 8 Oklahoma.
