MEAC Announces Weekly Men’s Basketball Honors - NCCU’s Lattimore, and Howard’s Harris Earn Top Awards Men's Basketball | 11/17/2025 2:46:09 PM NORFOLK, Va. - North Carolina Central guard Gage Lattimore has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week presented by Wells Fargo. Howard forward Bryce Harris earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Norfolk State guard My’kel Jenkins was selected as Rookie of the Week. Gage Lattimore (G, 6-2, 190, Greensboro, N.C.) recorded 38 points, knocking down nine 3-pointers to go along with four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in a win over Bluefield State. He shot an impressive 12-of-17 (71%) from the field, 9-of-12 (75%) from beyond the arc, and was perfect from the free throw line at 5-of-5. Lattimore closed the week with 12 points, two rebounds, and three assists against North Carolina. Bryce Harris (G, 6-4, 220, Grad., Brentwood, N.Y.) finished with 24 points and nine rebounds, one board shy of a double-double, in Howard’s 72-64 win over Alcorn State. He added two blocks, and one steal, shooting 75 percent from the field (9-of-12), including 2-of-3 from long range. My’kel Jenkins (G, 6-5, 180, r-Fr., Tarboro, N.C.) totaled seven points, two rebounds, and one block across two games for the Spartans last week. Other Top Performers Travelle Bryson (Howard) posted 12 points, six rebounds, and two blocks while shooting 6-of-12 from the field in the win over Alcorn State. Hall Demariontay (Coppin State) averaged 12.7 points and 5.3 rebounds with four steals, three blocks, and three assists across three games. Dionte Johnson (N.C. Central) totaled 10 assists, eight steals, and five rebounds in two games for the Eagles. Anthony McComb III (Norfolk State) tallied 13 points, four rebounds, three steals, two assists, and one block in a narrow three-point loss to Old Dominion. Tyler Koenig (Maryland Eastern Shore) averaged 10.3 points and 7.7 rebounds, along with two assists and one block in three games for the Hawks. James Ponce (Delaware State) averaged 15 points per game with six rebounds, eight assists, and three steals across two contests. Kareem Watson (Delaware State) recorded seven points, six rebounds, three steals, and one assist against New Haven.
