COLUMBUS, Ohio – Coppin State's women's basketball team played nearly even with Big Ten power Ohio State in the first half, but the Buckeyes pulled away in the second to prevail, 88-59 on Sunday afternoon at Value City Arena.  The Eagles fell to 1-2 on the season as Ohio State, who was receiving the second-most votes in the Polls outside the Top 25, won its season opener. 
  
Three CSU players finished in double figures, led by Khila Morris with 15 points, four rebounds and four assists while hitting a career-high 7-of-8 free throws. Shanaii Gamble added 11 points, six rebounds and two assists whilePatrica Sosa Lora finished with ten points and a game-high eight rebounds in her Coppin and season debut.

BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 9, 2025)--The Morgan State Lady Bears opened their home schedule on Sunday afternoon at Hill Field House, facing off against the Stetson Hatters. Despite a strong push late in the game, the Lady Bears fell short, dropping the contest 70–56. 

Gabrielle Johnson led the Lady Bears with a 20-point performance, showcasing her scoring versatility and leadership on both ends of the court. Off the bench, Gutierrez provided a spark with 11 points, adding key contributions that kept Morgan alive during the second half. 


Norfolk State def. Virginia State 77-53 BOX SCORE | RECAP  

NORFOLK, Va. --- The Norfolk State women's basketball team never trailed on Sunday afternoon, defeating Virginia State 77-53 at Echols Hall. 
  
Norfolk State improved to 2-1 on the season. The game counted as an exhibition for Virginia State. 
  
Graduate guard Jasha Clinton led the Spartans with 21 points. Anjanae Richardson finished with 13, and Da'Brya Clark added 11. Carmen Kweti pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, while LeAire Nicks grabbed seven boards. Clinton also tallied six steals, and Richardson added five.
