Richmond, VA -- The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (0-1) fell to Virginia Commonwealth University (1-0) to open the 2025–26 season despite three players scoring in double digits with ophomore Jaida Cameron (12), senior Brianna Barnes (11) and freshman Kaliya Perry (11).  


Delaware State def. Felician University, 66-55 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

DOVER, DE --The Delaware State women's basketball team kept Felician to just 8.3 percent from deep in a 1-for-12 shooting performance on the way to a 66-55 victory over the Golden Falcons at home Wednesday. 
  

The Hornets (1-0) had three players score in double figures, led by Amya Scott, who had 18 points and two steals. Mahogany Cottingham tacked on 12 points and six rebounds and Nevaeh Reaves helped out with 10 points and two steals. 


South Carolina State def. Morris College, 102-34 BOX SCORE | RECAP 

ORANGEBURG, SC—Six Lady Bulldogs scored in double figures as the South Carolina State Women's Basketball team cruised to an 102-34 win over Morris College Wednesday (Nov. 5) inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. 

Senior guard Angie Juste-Jean led the way with a game-high 18 points, nine (9) rebounds and six (6) steals, while newcomer Mya Byrd added 15 points, six (6) assist and three (3) steals. In a reserve role Shaunice Reed came off the bench finished with 13 points and five (5) rebounds. 
 
SCSU for the first time in the modern-day era amassed a 100-point scoring effort along with forcing a team-best 45 turnovers in the win. 
 
Lemyiah Harris, Heaven Harper and Miya Giles all finished with 10 points each respectively in the win.
