North Carolina A&T State Aggies Win 2026 MEAC Bowling Championship

- The North Carolina A&T State Aggies defeated Maryland Eastern Shore in a best-of-seven series to claim the 2026 MEAC Bowling Championship title. The victory marks the Aggies’ fifth championship in the last six years and their 10th overall. With the win, North Carolina A&T secures the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The 2026 NCAA Bowling Championship selection show will air on NCAA.com at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 25. The championship rounds will take place in the Cleveland, Ohio area, with semifinal action scheduled for April 10 and the finals set for April 11 at RollHouse Wickliffe.

In the title match, North Carolina A&T swept Maryland Eastern Shore in four straight games, posting scores of 195-191, 178-169, 211-180, and 233-223. Junior Savannah Burgin was named the tournament’s Outstanding Performer, while head coach Kim Terrell-Kearney earned Outstanding Coach honors. The championship game aired live on ESPN+.

Maryland Eastern Shore advanced to the championship after a 2-0 victory over UAB in the morning’s consolation match. The Lady Hawks captured the traditional game, 942-914, and followed with a 902-879 win in Baker play. Jayda Gordon led UMES with a 218, while Gabriela Becerra Diaz (215) and Mariane Almeida (209) each added 200-plus performances.

UAB concluded its season following the loss. The Blazers earned earlier wins over Coppin State and Howard before falling in the consolation round. MEAC Player of the Year Madison Colston paced UAB with a team-high 208.
