The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced its 2026 Women’s Bowling All-Conference honors Thursday evening during the annual MEAC Bowling Awards Ceremony.

University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate Madison Colston was named MEAC Player of the Year, while Delaware State’s Ryan Starke earned Rookie of the Year honors. North Carolina A&T State head coach Kim Terrell-Kearney was named Coach of the Year for the seventh consecutive season.

All awards were voted on by the conference’s head coaches and sports information directors.

Colston delivered a standout season for UAB, earning All-MEAC First Team honors after ranking among the league’s top performers across multiple statistical categories. She led the conference in individual frame percentage (86.0%) and Baker strike percentage (53.1%), while ranking second in overall scoring average (20.51) and traditional strike percentage (53.7%). Serving as UAB’s anchor, Colston elevated her performance in key moments, leading the MEAC in 10th-frame scoring average (20.867). She earned MEAC Player of the Week honors three times, posted an impressive 232.71 average at MEAC Meet No. 2, and recorded a perfect 300 game against Morgan State.

Starke made an immediate impact in her debut season at Delaware State, ranking 13th in scoring average (18.616) and contributing across several key categories, including strike percentage (43.2%) and first-ball percentage (65.9%). She earned two MEAC Rookie of the Week honors and was also named Player of the Week on November 18. In addition to being named Rookie of the Year, Starke earned All-MEAC Second Team recognition.

Terrell-Kearney continued her dominance at the helm of North Carolina A&T, earning her seventh Coach of the Year honor (sixth consecutive) after leading the Aggies to their sixth straight MEAC regular season championship. North Carolina A&T posted a 56–27 overall record and a 12–2 mark in conference play, including a perfect 7–0 showing at MEAC Meet No. 2. Nationally ranked at 19, the Aggies secured more than 20 wins over ranked opponents, highlighted by victories over No. 11 Sacred Heart, No. 10 Maryville, No. 16 Maryland Eastern Shore, and No. 19 Tulane. The Aggies also led the conference in several team categories, including scoring average (19.68), fill percentage (82.84%), strike percentage (47.44%), and single-pin conversion rate (88.27%). North Carolina A&T enters the championship as the No. 1 seed and will face No. 8 Norfolk State in the opening round.

Joining Colston on the All-MEAC First Team are Jordan Shipp (UAB), Victorya White (North Carolina A&T), Johnna Hill (Morgan State), and Mariana Santos Rivero (Maryland Eastern Shore).

The 2026 MEAC Bowling Championship begins Friday, March 20 at 9 a.m. at Triad Lanes in Greensboro, North Carolina.
