Commissioner Stills participates on the US Black Chambers 15th Anniversary Conference Panel

NORFOLK, Va. - Sonja Stills, Commissioner of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), participated as a panelist at the US Black Chambers, Inc., 15th Anniversary Conference and Celebration. The panel focused on the topic of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) and its growth among the collegiate sports landscape.  

Stills was joined on the panel by three other influential sport administrators including Gerard Wilcher, former Head Football Coach, Morehouse College, Asha Jordan, former D1 Women’s Basketball player and coach, and George Land, former 31-year NBA executive in China and Africa, now founder and CEO YouthQuake Nation and highly acclaimed sports agent.  

Throughout the 30-minute panel, moderator Jarvis Stewart, founder and managing partner, Blitz SMG (sports media group), questioned the panelists regarding how NIL is affecting their respective areas of the sports industry and how they see it impacting the future.  

The US Black Chambers panel is just one of two that Commissioner Stills is a participant of this month with the second coming up on July 30th when she will speak at the Metropolitan Junior Baseball League’s (MJBL) 20th Annual Bobby Bonds Memorial Symposium in Washington, D.C.
