NORFOLK, Va. – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has named Morgan State University’s
Brylan Carter the 2025-26 Woman of the Year, the conference office announced Wednesday.
The MEAC Woman of the Year is awarded to a female student-athlete who has excelled academically and athletically and is in her final season of intercollegiate athletics eligibility and competition under the MEAC and NCAA regulations for the sport in which the student-athlete was nominated.
The selected student-athlete had to demonstrate academic achievement, athletic excellence, and a sustained commitment to service and leadership. Their contributions should have made a meaningful impact on their campus, local community, and/or at the regional or national level.
Carter, a native of Altadena, Calif., put together a standout outdoor track & field season, recording personal-best marks in the discus, hammer and javelin while earning MEAC Field Athlete of the Week honors twice.
She capped the season by capturing MEAC titles in both the hammer (51.25 meters) and javelin (40.24 meters).
