NORFOLK, Va., March 6, 2023 – Two more professional esports commentators – or shoutcasters – will be on-hand during the MEAC Esports Championship at the Norfolk Scope Arena on Wednesday and Thursday, March 8-9, in conjunction with the 2023 MEAC Basketball Tournament.
AJAX and Herculyse will join Daramgar and Lemonkiwi_ as shoutcasters for the confernece’s first-ever in-person championship, which will stream on the
MEAC Esports Twitch page.
AJAX is a professional esports caster seen on MultiVersus, Brawlhalla, @esportsarena,
Smash Bros. Ultimate and with Sony and Microsoft.
Herculyse has been in the
Rocket League community since early 2019. She started off just watching RLCS before becoming intrigued and started to play the game on XBOX. It wasn't long after she was regularly streaming
Rocket League for her community and started posting on TikTok daily 9now at over 250,000 followers).
She started streaming full time in 2020 and in 2022, she began casting for the Women's Carball League. Over the next year, she quickly became one of the top new
Rocket League casters working on WCB, CRL, RLCS Freestyle and even hosting her own
Rocket League events for the community.
The
Smash Bros. tournament will run from 1-8 p.m. on March 8, with a pool of $1,400 in prize money on the line.
The
Rocket League showcase will begin on March 9 at 10 a.m.

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is in its 52
nd year of intercollegiate competition with the 2022-23 academic school year. Located in Norfolk, Va., the MEAC is made up of eight outstanding historically black institutions across the Atlantic coastline: Coppin State University, Delaware State University, Howard University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State University, Norfolk State University, North Carolina Central University and South Carolina State University.
