Shoutcaster LemonKiwi_ to Provide Commentary for MEAC Esports Championship

NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 3, 2023 – Professional esports commentator – or shoutcaster – Jennifer “LemonKiwi” Pichette will be on-hand during the MEAC Esports Championship at the Norfolk Scope Arena on Thursday, March 9, in conjunction with the 2023 MEAC Basketball Tournament.
 
Pichette will shoutcast the conference’s Rocket League showcase, beginning at 10 a.m. on the MEAC Esports Twitch page.
 
With the tag LemonKiwi_, Pichette is a professional esports commentator known for her work with Overwatch League, Collegiate Rocket League and Team Fight Tactics.
 
The MEAC Esports Championship will be in-person for the first time on March 8-9, the first two days of the MEAC Basketball Tournament at the Norfolk Scope Arena. The Smash Bros. tournament will run from 1-8 p.m. on March 8, with a pool of $1,400 in prize money on the line.
 
The Rocket League showcase will begin on March 9 at 10 a.m.

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is in its 52nd year of intercollegiate competition with the 2022-23 academic school year. Located in Norfolk, Va., the MEAC is made up of eight outstanding historically black institutions across the Atlantic coastline: Coppin State University, Delaware State University, Howard University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State University, Norfolk State University, North Carolina Central University and South Carolina State University.
