NORFOLK, Va., June 30, 2022 – As a send-off for Pride Month 2022, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) concludes June with a virtual panel featuring five individuals who are in support or part of the LGBTQ community.
Hosted by iHeart Radio’s own Ambie Renee, the panelists include: Senior Associate Athletics Director & Senior Woman Advisor Kendra Greene of North Carolina Central; Assistant Director of Intercultural Affairs Jose Cadiz-Carrasquillo of Howard University; Student-Athlete Academic Counselor and Head Cheerleading Coach Lamar Waul-Branson of University of Maryland Eastern Shore; Housing Specialist Erica Dunigan of LGBT Life Center; and MEAC Assistant Commissioner of External Affairs Cesley Tafoya.
Panelists share their efforts of support from perspectives of Title IX, mental health, supplying resources, personal experiences and plans to shape a better future for LGBTQ communities.
