Coppin State 10, Delaware State 6
COLUMBIA, Md. -- Coppin State's baseball team rallied from a five-run deficit to defeat Delaware State 10-6 on Friday afternoon at Blandair Park in the MEAC opener for both teams.
The Eagles now stand at 5-11 on the season.
Eimir Perez scored three runs while going 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a pair of walks as Wellington Balsley and Corey Miley had two hits apiece. Balsley also drove in two runs while Miley scored twice with two hits and a pair of walks. Marcos Castillo drove in three runs with a double and Mike Dorcean reached base safely in all four of his plate appearances, drawing two walks and was hit by a pair of pitches.

Maryland Eastern Shore 10, Norfolk State 3
SALISBURY, Md. -- Waking up, Evan Nibblett was already in a good mood, turning 23 and earning his first Friday start of the season.
Leaving Perdue Stadium that evening, the graduate student was in an even better mood, leading the Maryland Eastern Shore baseball team to its second win of the season and first MEAC victory since 2019 in a 10-3 decision over Norfolk State.
The Hawks now stand at 2-11 on the season with three more games to go against the Spartans (3-11).
