MEAC to Host the 2026 Women in Athletics Professional Workshop Baseball | 2/7/2026 1:19:27 PM The MEAC will host its annual Women in Athletics Professional Workshop on Monday, March 9, at the Norfolk (Va.) Waterside Marriott, as part of the conference’s continued commitment to leadership development and the advancement of women in collegiate athletics. The event is open to professionals at all career stages — from current college students to executive leaders in the corporate boardroom. Held in conjunction with the 2026 MEAC Basketball Tournament, the workshop will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is presented in alignment with initiatives led by the conference’s Senior Woman Administrators (SWA). The event is made possible through the valued partnership and support of Coca-Cola and Wells Fargo, whose commitment to leadership, education, and community impact helps strengthen opportunities for women across athletics. This year’s theme, “Inside the Locker Room: Women Leading the Game,” centers on the critical role women play in shaping the future of collegiate athletics while acknowledging the unique professional challenges and barriers that continue to exist, particularly in athletic administration and leadership pathways.
