Norfolk State 9, Coppin State 3
NORFOLK, Va. -- Danny Hosley capped a tremendous weekend for Norfolk State pitchers with 10 strikeouts over eight innings, and Norfolk State completed a four-game MEAC sweep of Coppin State on Sunday with a 9-3 win at Marty L. Miller Field.
Hosley, Dionte Brown and Mason Velasquez all had two hits for the Spartans (15-20, 11-5 MEAC), who scored two runs apiece in the fifth through eighth innings to win their sixth game in a row.
Brown singled, stole second and scored on a Velasquez single in the first. The Eagles (5-21, 3-12) plated a run in the second as starting pitcher Jordan Hamberg tripled and scored on a Matt Day sacrifice fly.

North Carolina A&T State 5, Florida A&M 2
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- North Carolina A&T State scored twice in the first inning and led throughout en route to a 5-2 series-clinching win over Florida A&M on Sunday at War Memorial Stadium.
Dustin Baber and Shane Faulk both had two-hit days for the Aggies, and Baber drove in three runs.

North Carolina Central 6, Delaware State 0
DOVER, Del. -- North Carolina Central sophomore Ryan Miller threw six strikeouts in eight innings of shutout ball, and Caleb McRoy tallied the final three outs as the duo combined to throw the Eagles' first nine-inning shutout since 2017 in a 6-0 victory over Delaware State to split the weekend series on Sunday at Soldier Field.
The last NCCU (14-13, 6-6 MEAC) nine-inning shutout came from the hands of Devin Sweet, Jake McCort, and Ryan Decler on April 1, 2017 in an 8-0 win over Florida A&M.
Chet Sikes put NCCU on the board in the top of the third on a two-RBI single, and then added a third RBI on a single in the top of the seventh. The Eagles scored a total of four runs in the seventh frame on three hits and one error, including an RBI single by Luis DeLeon and a sacrifice fly by Cameron Norgren.
The fourth run of the inning was scored by DeLeon as he slid home on a double steal with Jacob Raby.
