North Carolina A&T State Finishes Third in Track Kat Klash
HOUSTON, Texas -- The North Carolina A&T State bowling team turned in a third-place finish at Sam Houston State University's Kat Klash Sunday afternoon.
The Aggies knocked down 13,300 pins for a tournament-best average of 207.8.
A&T was the No. 1 overall seed in Sunday's bracket play. The Aggies opened up the day against the No. 1 team in the nation according to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) poll, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Aggies, the No. 5 team in the country, held a 922-877 advantage through the first four games, but a crucial 248-189 fifth game went Nebraska's way, leading to a 1,320-1,304 loss by the Aggies.
A&T still had a shot at the title with a second-round match against SHSU, but the Bearkats took advantage of two sub-200 games from the Aggies to win the match, 896-799.

Maryland Eastern Shore Comes in Sixth at Track Kat Klash
HOUSTON, Texas -- Maryland Eastern Shore may have bowled better during Sunday's Baker bracket play than it did during Saturday's Traditional match format, but in the end the standings didn't reflect it as the Hawks (14-12) finished sixth at the Track Kat Klash.
The Hawks opened best-of-seven Baker bracket play on Sunday with a shutout loss to National Tenpin Coaches Association No. 15 Maryville and were then knocked into a matchup with Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival and No. 14 Delaware State.
Junior Brooke Roberts had the top day for the Hawks during traditional play, averaging 203.6 over five games. Classmate Alejandra Amezcua was right being with a 203.0 average.

Delaware State Finishes Seventh at Track Kat Klash
HOUSTON, Texas -- The Delaware State women's bowling team opened its 2021-22 schedule with a seventh-place finish out of 15 teams at the Kat Klash hosted by Sam Houston State this past weekend.
The Hornets posted a 6-7 overall record in the event, which featured 10 teams ranked in the 2021-22 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) preseason poll. Delaware State was No. 14 in the preseason rankings.
Individually, freshman Emily Breidegam was tops on the Hornets with a total pinfall of 979 in five games for a 195.8 per game average. Breidegham had a high score of 225 and a second best game of 215.
Senior Stefanny Toala was second on the team with a 965 total pinfall (193.0 avg.). Toala topped the 200 mark in two games, including a high of 220.
