NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 4, 2021 – Coming off the success of the
Kickin’ it With Cordae HBCU Campus Tour, which hit all eight Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) campuses and generated more than 34 million impressions on social media, the MEAC Esports Community is ready to dive back into the realm of competition.
With that, the MEAC Esports Community has unveiled its competition schedule for fall 2021, highlighting four games that will allow the MEAC’s esports teams to dive into the virtual world of varsity competition and fight for positioning heading into the postseason.
Competition will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 5, with
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate currently set for 7 p.m., with
Rocket League following at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 will see
Call of Duty: Search and Destroy at 7 p.m., and at 8 p.m.,
Splitgate.
The games schedule will remain the same each Tuesday and Thursday throughout the fall season.

With this week serving as the first week of competition, it will be considered the preseason. The regular season will run through Tuesday, Nov. 9, and the playoffs will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 16.

st year of intercollegiate competition with the 2021-22 academic school year. Located in Norfolk, Va., the MEAC is made up of eight outstanding historically black institutions across the Atlantic coastline: Coppin State University, Delaware State University, Howard University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State University, Norfolk State University, North Carolina Central University and South Carolina State University.
