MEAC Esports Recap, Oct. 19 & 21

Regular-season competition resumed this past week, with several of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) esports teams going head-to-head in four different games.

On Tuesday, it was Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Rocket League, with Call of Duty: Cold War and Splitgate following on Thursday.
Tuesday, Oct. 19 -- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Howard University's vexel picked up a 3-0 win over Coppin State's filthycasualgamer, while the Bison also got a 3-0 win from Yango, who defeated Golden663 of Morgan State 3-0. Howard also got wins from Pekomwen01 (3-0 over Morgan State's BigShadyPanda) and kennycosmic (3-2 over Coppin State's Justdoe).

North Carolina Central picked up a pair of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate victories on Tuesday, with Dragovian winning 3-0 over teammate Robotcrab and GodKing defeating Morgan State's Wonderfish 3-0.

HalfKing of Maryland Eastern Shore was also victorious, 3-1 over Florida A&M's Spirit.

Yango, Dragovian and Pekomwen01 are each 3-0 in Super Smash Bros' Ultimate so far this fall.

Tuesday, Oct. 19 -- Rocket League

Howard went 2-0 in Rocket League on Tuesday, picking up 3-0 wins over North Carolina Central and Coppin State. User 33ndoto won both matches for the Bison.

In other action, Maryland Eastern Shore -- behind player Moist_Glizzy -- won 3-0 over Coppin State.

The Hawks are 3-0 in Rocket League so far this fall, with Howard sitting at 2-0.

Thursday, Oct. 21 -- Call of Duty: Cold War

Florida A&M notched a 2-1 win over Norfolk State to open Call of Duty: Cold War competition, while Howard won 3-0 over North Carolina Central. The Rattlers picked up the win thanks to iSyphz and iLikeYaCuTg.

User xaikay picked up the win for the Bison.

Morgan State's BenGi closed out the Call of Duty competition with a 3-0 win over Coppin State.

Morgan State and Howard are both 2-0 so far this fall in Call of Duty: Cold War.

Thursday, Oct. 21 -- SplitGate

Howard -- with user smitty -- defeated North Carolina Central 3-1, while Justdoe helped Morgan State pick up a 3-0 win over Coppin State.

Morgan State leads the SplitGate standings at 2-0, while Howard is 1-0.

Action returns on Tuesday, Oct. 26, with more Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Rocket League action, and Call of Duty: Cold War and Splitgate resume on Thursday, Oct. 28.
