GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The North Carolina A&T State Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will be extending its no-fans policy for the next three weeks, Director of N.C. A&T Athletics Earl M. Hilton III announced on Monday. The no-fans policy is in place for all varsity sports activities taking place on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.
While it is exciting to see NCAT varsity teams competing again; the nation is still amid the coronavirus pandemic. The chief concern has been and remains the well-being and safety of our student-athletes, fans, and staff.
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and other institutional staff members will re-evaluate conditions after the next update from Gov. Roy Cooper and the Coronavirus Task Force.
