NORFOLK, Va., Aug. 14, 2020 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is proud to announce that starting on Tuesday, Aug. 18, the conference will host an online silent auction in support of its student-athletes.
Partnering with Charitybuzz, proceeds from the silent auction will go towards providing scholarships and offering one-of-a-kind experiences on behalf of the MEAC. This partnership with Charitybuzz and the MEAC was brokered by Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG).
The MEAC Silent Auction represents a cornerstone of the conference’s year-long events and activations commemorating the conference’s 50th anniversary.
“The MEAC Silent Auction represents an outstanding opportunity for the MEAC to celebrate its illustrious history, while also helping build a foundation in the future for our student-athletes,” MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas said. “I would like to thank both CSMG and CharityBuzz for their hard work and partnership for the silent auction.”
Items available through the MEAC’s silent auction will include: individual 15-minute Zoom Q&A’s with NFL players, an opportunity for two participants in the 2021 Greater Trinity Celebrity Classic hosted by NFL Hall of Famer Kenny Easley, a 2017 Pro Football Hall of Fame replica helmet autographed by seven inductees, Norfolk Experience packages and more.
