TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Florida A&M University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will hold a virtual 'Reading with the Rattlers" on Friday, May 15.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. and streamed live on Facebook.

"Reading with the Rattlers is a great opportunity for children to have a fun, creative break from the stress of homeschool assignments," Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Welfare and Competitive Excellence Michelle Harper said. "I'm excited that we still have the ability to connect with the community through engagement activities such as our reading program."

Florida A&M and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) SAAC President, Morgan Mitchell, is excited about giving back to the community.

"I'm so excited to be participating in 'Reading with the Rattlers' because it gives our student-athletes an opportunity to  connect with the community from at home and our community an opportunity to hear from some of their favorite student-athletes. I'm so ready to read and give back to the community with books that were precious from my childhood."

'Reading with the Rattlers' will not only feature student-athletes, reading a book of their choice, but also coaches and administrators.
