ARLINGTON, Texas – According to the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), North Carolina A&T State head bowling coach Kim Terrell-Kearney rejoins Team USA coaching staff as an assistant coach.

While serving as an assistant coach for Team USA, Terrell-Kearney will remain one of the best collegiate coaches in the country at N.C. A&T.

"I am so honored to be back as a part of the Team USA coaching staff," Terrell-Kearney said.  "I look forward to sharing my experiences with my A&T bowlers. It will make us all better and improve the A&T program going forward."

A USBC Silver coach, Terrell-Kearney joined the Team USA staff in 2004 as a Junior Team USA coach under Rod Ross. Even though she entered the college ranks as a coach, Terrell-Kearney remained on the Junior Team USA staff.  Later she joined Ross on the International Training and Research Center staff in 2009 and was named a Team USA assistant coach the following year.

Terrell-Kearney's main focus will be to work with the adult team at training camps and during international competitions, as needed.

She started coaching at Delaware State from 2007-09, where she led the Hornets to the national semifinals in 2009, reaching a No. 4 ranking, the highest in school history. She was named the 2009 MEAC Coach of the Year and the NCAA Coach of the Year.

In between her time at Delaware State and the Aggies, she was the assistant coach of Team USA. Terrell-Kearney was hired at N.C. A&T on Aug. 15, 2016 and led the team to a MEAC Southern Division title and made an appearance in the MEAC Championship match in her first season.

The Aggies won their second consecutive MEAC Southern Division in her second season and also won the MEAC Tournament for the first time in 14 years to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

This season, the Aggies have posted a 56-34 record including a 9-1 record in the MEAC.  N.C. A&T is tied for eighth in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) poll and has been ranked as high as No. 7 this season.
