NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 3, 2020 – With Election Day now here, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s (MEAC) member institutions Student-Athlete Advisory Committees (SAAC) have been hard at work getting student-athletes – and the general student body – registered to vote.
Among the conference’s 11 member institutions, a total of 1,233 students were registered to vote.
“Voting is one of the cornerstones of our democracy,” MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas said. “It is one of the most important ways in which we contribute to our society, and I am pleased to see such involvement and civic engagement among our member institutions’ student-athletes and overall student bodies.”
