DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Central sophomore pitcher Ryan Miller has been recognized by D1 Baseball as a Top 150 pitcher after a fantastic freshman season, the outlet announced.
Miller earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year honors in 2019 after tossing an NCCU freshman record 73 strikeouts and won a team-best six games. He also was ranked top-25 nationally in NCAA Division I with a 5.83 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and put up the second-lowest walks per nine innings (BB/9) at 1.64.
Miller received a rating of 82.0 out of 100 on the list that used three separate metrics, and was given a score of 89.7 in the category of pitchability. To view the entire list, visit D1Baseball.com.
The Eagles start the 2020 season at home with a three-game series against Radford on Friday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Durham Athletic Park.
