Weather Forecasts Lead to MEAC Baseball Shifts

The potential for inclement weather this weekend has forced the shift of several baseball games across the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), including both series in the Northern Division.

Coppin State's weekend series against Maryland Eastern Shore, instead of being played Saturday and Sunday, will begin on Thursday with a single game at 5 p.m. A doubleheader will follow on Friday, with first pitch set for 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, Norfolk State will kick off its three-game set against Delaware State on Friday with a single game at 7 p.m. There will be no games on Saturday, with the two teams wrapping things up on Sunday with a doubleheader starting at 11:30 a.m.

In the Southern Division, North Carolina A&T State and Florida A&M will play a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m., with the series finale on Saturday at that same time.

North Carolina Central is set to play three on the road against George Washington this weekend. Instead of one game each Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 12 p.m., with the final game in the series on Sunday.
